Cats and education

We received an invitation from Rebecca Cairns-Wicks, Chair SNCG & Wirebird Species Action Plan Co-ordinator :

I would like to invite you and your respected colleagues to attend a meeting to engage in dialogue about the problems of feral cats as predators, in this particular case, of wirebirds and seabirds and to consider what actions could be taken forward to help educate and raise awareness amongst owners and the public generally.

Perhaps if we could establish education activities that raise awareness and encourage responsible behaviour this could be a positive first step to wider predator (cats and rodents) control measures for biodiversity conservation.

We are suggesting 10 am on Thursday am (21st) at Tinkers Flat in Jamestown. This would leave open the opportunity of meeting with Fiona again before she leaves on the 1st March.

I will attend ...
